When is Mad Friday this year?

is it a subjective thing?

When is mad Friday this year? Does it depend on location (eg if the town's biggest employers all "break up on 16th then Mad Friday in that town is 16th whereas elsewhere it's 23rd?).

Or is it widely accepted to be the same date by one and all? Are you all breaking out the Santa hats (euphemistically if not literally) on Friday 16th or holding off until Friday 23rd?

its every friday in my head!!!!

A lot of people will work up to 23rd, so I'm presuming that will be the carnage gig

Reckon most companies will work up till Fri 23rd....we're at Bakers Vaults in Stockport which is a bit mental at the best of times so god knows what mad Fri will be like.

It is the last Friday before Christmas day, so this year it's the 23rd, but I'm breaking out the chrimbo hats next weekend...

Well so far I ought to be winning the argument I've been having with Nick our resident faffer who is adamant that as most of his his mates are "breaking up" on 16th then that is Mad Friday, on the basis that not many people will be working on 23rd. His logic is that since more people will be working on 16th than 23rd then the 16th must be Mad Friday. Me....I can't really remember why I was bothered arguing except that I'm bloody well not wearing a Santa hat on the 16th, a full week before Christmas.

I'm saying 23rd on this - we got blindsided by Lyndsey at Marigolds in Darwen and took the booking!!
That's an 11.15pm start... I'm sure we'll be fine, we take Mace to most gigs anyway.
