greatest guitar solos part 2

guess the guitarist playing possibly the perfect solo?

in my opinion, the most perfect solo ever.
short, succinct, technically superb, tasteful.
there may be more emotionally charged stuff out there (anything paul kossoff played for instance)but this is 22 seconds of sheer perfection.

listen here: www.mcollinge.co.uk/theperfectsolo.mp3

if no-one guesses who it is by friday, i'll post the answer.

we'll get those 500 blogs for march up yet - cant leave it to rob haredog to keep coming up with them all!

hi rob, not sure when we are at greenhill again. going to try and see you guys there in may.
in april we have gigs in burnley at press rooms on 3rd, white hart on 9th and queens in colne on 10th.

only clue to guitarist is that both you & he hail from the shire.

dont think we recorded any of the gigs I did with you...did we?

The guitar solo reminds me of several players? Hmmm..(Steve Lukather isn't from Yorkshire though! lol)..........and the music itself has a Steely Dan feel to it, especially the last few bars? ....."Curioser and Curioser!"
