Gotta be our first gig as Jump the Shark back in May. A charity do at Bar 38 in town. It was brilliant to get out of the rehearsal room and play for actual real people.

Since, we've played busy ones, small but perfectly formed ones, faraway ones and loud ones. Any time people let us make noise and show an interest is amazing but breaking that seal was a bit special.

The fact that I only ballsed up half as much as I'd feared that I would was a bonus. :)

Rockin' Kens birthday bash along with Maximum Torque & Riff Raff stands out for the amazing amount of love & support shown to Ken who's been dancing to the rock fraternity on the site long before its inception.

Hope you all have a good chrimbo and New Year by the way...

The Sinners.

Gotta be a toss up between our official debut gig at Hindley Arms or The Wheatsheaf in Preston, Dave n Dee pulled out all the stops fer us n decorated the place specially to suit us n The Wheatsheaf purely because it wasn't a crowd of familiar faces n they mistakenly figured they were in for a night of Country n Western, how wrong they were n they totally bought into what we were about, both top nights though ;-)

We have played a lot of gigs this year but a selection that comes to mind first would be:

In no particular order because they are all for different reasons!

British Blues Festival: Great crowd, great sound and a big stage to prance around on. On the same bill as some amazing acts so that was very cool :)

SMART Festival: Warm up gig was one of favourites as it was blazing hot, the audience was great and we met Phil Platt for the first time. A true gentleman!

Hop Pocket: Fabulous venue in chorley and the crowd are real music lovers!

Any Gig where an audience member told us we have made a difference to their day: Getting paid is always nice but being told by someone that they were having a crap day until they heard you is a good feeling. If only you could pay the bills with such sentiments...

LA80 - Nags head, Macc - First venture with the new lineup, under rehearsed, under prepared and yet was a huge blast of a gig....... we didnt know the set properly however blind panic being the mother of invention we got through .... audience were mental... Honourable mention for cricketers .... not at its busiest but a great night.....

DOA - Rockfest - an honour and a priviledge to be part of the bill and our first outing..... a measure of the band members involved that we breezed the gig! :o)

MAG's Farmyard Party, Yorkshire; one of Europe's most popular biker rallies, it just doesn't get any better for a cover/tribute band when you're playing to 4000 people going mental.

Autumn NABDness, Oxford; a headline slot at one of NABD national rallies, a great weekend.

Bakers Vaults, Stockport; our flagship venue which gets better every time, October saw a brilliant gig here which may be topped when we return this Fri 23rd Dec.

Ighten Leigh SC, nr. Burnley; met my girlfriend :)

Looking forward to next year's gigs & frolics...
Dean

Tough one Rob...
Being in a Punk band our target audience is Punks...so to support 3 top punks bands this year was very special for us...The UK Subs, The Angelic Upstarts were really good gigs...but supporting The Buzzcocks was an amazing experience...and we did ourselves justice too...
I don't recall a 'bad' gig this year for LGIT....and I've enjoyed watching quite a few fellow NWBers too...so to pick a favourite would be tough...But the Buzzcocks gig will live with me forever...

We played a wedding in Cardiff. Now weddings can be dodgy, but this lot were all up for it right from the word go, plus, they payed for us to stay the night so we had a Kingpin party afterwards till about 4 in the morning.

Absolutely blinding night - and we got payed!!

Really, what more can you ask for?
