Lyrics coming outta my fooking arse

New songs looking forward to em to, but I dont think I have enough room left in my head to fit another lyric in. learnt three sets before christmas and 5 sets just being formated and more to fooking go............ I used to do loads of busking years back and could remember any song no probs.
Now Im approaching nnnnnn years old I am useless. I cant even remember lyrics to the stuff Ive written meself anymore so I use a music stand and lyric sheets.
Bit like a zimmer frame or a walking stick really, how rubbish of me

Im having to write them down again and again .... I could do with a LCD screen fixed into a hoax monitor displaying the lyrics thats somthing to think about I rekkkon

This was one of the things that used to make me feel ill before a gig. In the end I just thought feck it. I got a music stand, put it as low as it could go. Printed the lyrics for all the songs as big as I could make them fit onto a single sheet of paper and went with that.

I found when I did that, the worry went away and I tended to hardly need it.

They writing them down a few times is the way, but I find if it ain't sinking in then it's not gonna be there if you write it a hundred times. Alright Now by Free is a piss easy song, but that damn song would not compute.

I try not to think about it mate, luckily I have room in my head as I kicked all the non important shit out years ago. Such as maturity, self control, responsibility, tact, decorum etc

Lyric Learning...

It's constant, no sooner is one song mastered then you on to next!! Very time consuming but i've found

going over them in your head and writing them down trying to remember,
practicing with guitar,
watching on you tube,
going over in work breaks,
walks with dogs
while doing housework
when in bed

and definately not while my two bloody puppies are scrapping...as they are right now!!!!!

Its one thing I struggle with especially when learning new songs, ones ive never listened to ever...

ive seen a few artists/bands using the fake monitor option, I always find if I play along with my guitar im less likely to thing about the words and they sink in better.

Or make em up, repeat verses ect lol
