For everybody out and about this weekend.

Guys 'n'Gals,
Please take a moment to view a few weather forecasts this weekend as according to Sky news, snow, hail and ice are on the way this weekend. This taken from Sky news website:

"Britain is set to be blasted by cold weather with predicted temperatures of -5C this weekend.
Snow is forecast in some regions as a warm Atlantic weather system from the west clashes with cold air from the east.

Elsewhere there will be widespread showers and hail.

The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for ice to motorists travelling on untreated roads in Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and northern England this morning after temperatures dipped overnight.

Issuing its yellow "be aware" warning, it said: "Icy stretches are expected to form on untreated surfaces, especially in places affected by showers."

"The showers will fall as snow above about 250m, but there may be temporary slush deposits to lower levels. The public should be aware of possible travel disruption."

Temperatures are predicted to drop to between -1C and -5C in the north overnight, with a southerly low of -1C.

During Saturday and Sunday temperatures are expected to range between 4C-7C across Britain with lows of -1C during the night.

Snow fell over high ground in Wales, northern parts of England and Scotland yesterday, reaching depths of between 1-4cm.

Be prepared people, but whatever you do, stay safe and well.

Best regards,

Mark

I was playing in Cheshire last night and came home through Bolton at about 1.00am. Hearing loads of weather reports on Janice Long's show but there was no sign of snow 'til I got to the top of the A666 where it was sticking and getting slippery. There was snow & hail in Darwen too. We've seen how disruptive the weather can be to the gigging schedule especially up here in th'ills.
Let's be careful out there.

Yeh - disruptive is right - nothing worse than turning up for a gig and no-one coming to watch - bad enough having to contend with people staying in for Crap-Factor and Strictly come Wobbling!
Got a gig tonight but nothing else this weekend, so might just escape the bad stuff if it comes. Good luck to all you Saturday nighters though.

@JW - Hopefully should be ok mate. It's usually better in the afternoons than night times. And the motorways are usually clear.

@BH Mick - I'm not all bad you know! I do care really, just don't want everyone seeing my soft side!!
