Thank you for some NWB support
A 'Pub' gig...our first time in the Salford area and not sure how it was gonna go...especially with United getting beat earlier in the day...
The Last Orders is not really a Punk venue but is a good pub to play...enough room to set up and play and a welcoming management. The locals were friendly and those who stuck around seemed to enjoy a bit of Punk...
Our new drummers 3rd gig with us and he seems to be settling in very well, lots of compliments for him and it's always nice when people comment on how good our sound is...winds me up a bit that people think Punk bands are shit...please remove mind-forged manacles and give us a chance...
Thanks to all the people who travelled to support us especially the Bolton crew.
Was great to see a few NWB members who made the effort too especially Daz Grooveman, straight from a Burns supper in full Caledonian attire...who did well to resist whipping out his bagpipes and stayed all night, a nice guy and a real character...I remember him chasing me up Hindley High street playing Teenage Kicks on his acoustic guitar...also a guy who knew my 'work' on here but kept his NWB identity a secret !!!
Not a bad gig and a decent venue which we would return to in the future...there were a few concerns about it's 'funding' but I was assured there would still be live music in the future.
Thanks
Gary
