I could actually play

I had the pleasure of visiting the 'Manchester Bass Lounge' yesterday to see it in the flesh and mighty impressive it is too.

Drew needed some photos for the Bass Magazine and asked me to 'noodle' a bit with a rather lovely Overwater 'Perception' 5 string, which could almost tempt me to swap my drums. The price? A mere £1850.....

If any of you bass players are interested, get in touch with Drew and go and see it yourself. He doesn't care if you want to buy or just browse or just spend a couple of hours yakking.

And the coffee is rather good too,,,,,

Now that's a novel concept. Brave too I'd say!

Very understanding wife too - that's less than half his stock.

He started out as an ex-bass playing collector, then got back into playing (he's really rather good too) then realised that he had more than he could keep, but didn't want to get the associated overheads of premises or the impersonality of fleabay.

Hmmm, work from home. It could catch on.....

If I changed my dining room into a photo studio a) the missus would kill me and b) the cat would put up a fight for a his favourite spot on the radiator.

By the look of your hands Al, like me, you may be better off with a short scale neck ;-)

Had a brief email exchange with Drew last month, sounds like one of the good guys!

I can see why he got you to model for the pics Al. Any actual bass player would have had to cover his lap with a cushion.
