It was cold but glad to see people out!

Weird week end,I was supposed to go to Manchester but didnt! So went to a local pub, "The Bull And Royal" on Friday gone and saw The Rain Makers. Excellent band doing quite a few different numbers. some interesting Fx and Line 6 guitar with 12 string and sitar simulations.I would see these guys again. Music from Genesis and some blues rock , classic rock and even a bit of pop and soul. an ecliptic mix but it works!
The Bull And Royal is a new-ish venue to the list I believe. I know there has been some buskers nights on there. Well worth a visit on a Friday evening and I'll definitely watch this band again.
Saturday I went to the Black Bull on Friargate. I was looking forward to seeing The Extras again to and see how they were getting on after Chris, the big lad, had left from his drumming duties, Big shoes to fill!
The Extras were spot on and the new lad was too ! Dave has a loverly sound using that Fender amp and some interesting guitars for an anorak like me to look at!.The whole band played well.Right up there at their usual high standard. Excellent bass from Joan also.
Buy The Extras new CD if you get the chance, absolutely spot on! I arranged to meet up with a couple of lads I know to be big Dr Feelgood fans, they were well chuffed! .The extras wear the best shoes of any local pub band and Daz is looking ( as we say in my native North East) a "bonny lad" in his new clobber! Bonny shoes, bonny guitars, what more could you want?
All in all a canny week end thanks to NW bands playing live.

No animals were harmed whilst making Daz's shoes. They are 100 percent pvc. Not yer stimulated rubbish....Chris.
