It may be worth contacting the new management in a couple of weeks time.

We were contacted by Vicky the pub manager a couple of weeks ago saying they were leaving this weekend and they were passing the diary over to the incoming people with the advice to contact the pub direct after the 6th Feb to confirm any bookings

We played there on Sat night and Mark introduced me to the new owner who is in fact his cousin. He also said our gigs would still be on. I haven't heard anything different but I'll get hold of mark and try to find out whats happening

did they used to have bands two nights a week? Ours were Friday gigs...maybe they dropped a night?

I spoke to Vicky this week too, appears the owner has sold the place (like Rocking Horse said to his cousin). We last played there in October but never rebooked for this year, quite simply because there just isn't a Punk following in the area and after multiple gigs there we just weren't seeing any progress like we have done in other areas (plus that stage area was a pain in the ass even for 3 of us). It's most definitely an out & out Classic Rock pub, but numbers have been down generally over the last 6 months...sign of the times. Hope they get things sorted and all the best to Vicky & co.

looking at our dates and we have a Sat and a Fri booked in, so I'm not sure if a night is being dropped. I can't see them stopping the bands as it's all that keeps the place going really the place it's positioned.

I keep hearing that it's declining in attendances but I can honestly say hand on heart that when we play there its packed. Whether it's that they like us or we have been lucky I have no idea, but I really enjoy the gig so I hope it doesn't stop

@RockingHorse & Steve (Wrecked)
We've only ever played on a Friday night so maybe that's something to do with it. I also always felt they were a tough audience to crack and I don't mind admitting that it may be us that they just didn't get. No point keep playing somewhere if there's no connection is there.
