Live!! In Blackburn, Lancashire

We're at the Alex on Dukes Brow this Saturday night if any of you guys fancy a couple of hours of Country Soul and Rock n Roll and More.

Hometown gig for us (or some of us, anyhow) and always a good one.

Open narcotic use and public nudity optional, as ever.

Guaranteed NO buffet, raffle, whip round or exit fee. After lengthy negotiations with the management we've got 'em up to £3.49 per man and the money back on the empties. We're thinking of jacking our jobs in, turning pro and putting in for the charts.

9.30 on if you fancy it. Or if you don't, come to that.

Hi there Cheating Hearts, just a quick question, Your photo/ image on the N W B home page has a familiar looking guitarist. It wouldn't be a fellow called Sean (?) who used to front a band from decades ago called " Forever " would it? Cheers, Paul

Now then, Chester

Yes indeed, that is for sure Mr Watson in person. However, and this is long story which I'll relate to you if we ever meet, Shaun is not in the band anymore. He was for many years but it's an old photo that Mr NWB has used due to us failing to furnish him with more recent one. Shaun, however is by far the best-looking Cheating Heart (and there have been a LOT of Cheating Hearts) ever and so I havn't troubled to sort that particular one out.

I did a gig with the fellah last friday and he was GREAT - still got it in spades- but he's not so interested these days.

Come along anyway - the current line-up is the best one ever, and we always have a good time at the Alex.

Bless your heart, Tubthumper, I've been looking for that. There must be something wrong with your camera, though, as I seem to have turned into a fat sweaty bloke in his early to mid 50's. Surely shome mishtake?

Hello again, must be strange this, I can also remember a bass player called Shug, that had some dealings with possibly Thunderbird Sabden maybe Forever. I can remember these names from frequent weekends watching bands in the Regent, Blackburn, couldn't be the same , could it? Cheers, Paul.

Aah, la recherche du temps perdu, pardon my French. I am indeed a bass player called Shug though I was never involved with Thunderbird Sabden and only with Forever in that my friends and I used to take full advantage of the performance opportunities afforded by musicians night at The Regent which was generally hosted by Watson and co. I eventually fooled Shaun into playing with me about 1981 and was in a band with him pretty much constantly until 2007 when he retired from public life in order to spend more time with his family, drinking. He taught me A LOT and I hope he remembers our time together as fondly as I do.
