I am trying to get an open mic night going at The Maltings in Warrington.

The first one will be on Tuesday (7 Feb), then every Tuesday thereafter. It would be great if you could come down and support us. As I'm sure you know it is always difficult to get these things up and running, so we need as many people and musicians as possible to come down to get things going.

Hope you can make it. Any help and support is greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Nat

Stonecycle have picked up a couple above in the Preston area
Thursdays at the ship in with Pete Knight and Lynda Lamb. nice people, Pete is a local studio owner and live engineer and (i think) takes a full backline to these vents
Wednesdays at the railway, Leyland with Andy Smith of Alibi, lovely guy, worked with him for years and i think he takes a backline too.
Wednesdays at the Bitter Suite Preston, particularly 4th Wednsebury of the month with Keith Mitchell - you tend to find some of the S&L gang down there along with the rest of the attendees - good crowd and real ale.
there is one at the Bull and Royal in Preston, i hear but i haven't been yet and don't have details
Moving further afield, John Dunlop of Spitfire has just started running one at Yates, Blackpool on Tuesdays
the wheatsheaf, Preston are also running an open mic night on Wednesdays (or last Wednesday of month?) - again I haven't been yet but it's a great live venue with a good manager, check for details.

I run one in Rammy on a Sunday night at The Grant Arms, no drums but your welcome to come and do an acoustic set fellas. There is always an 8 channel 900 watt PA and a couple of mics.
And a free pint for each for doing 3 tunes ;)

Me and the other lads in The Statesmen played at one in Heywood last thursday night and it was great. The pub is called The White Lion, give that one a try.

As somebody else has said, a lovely bloke called Andy Smith runs an open mic at the Railway in Leyland on Wednesdays (P.A., vocal monitor, guitar combo and electric drum kit are all provided) - he actually alternates with Lynda Lamb and Pete Knight. It's Pete & Lynda's turn on the 8th February and Andy will be there the following week.
Thanks Howard, the cheque's in the post! - Andy.
