Inspiral Carpets
808 State
james
Charlatans
Happy Mondays
Stone Roses
New Order
EMF
Ocean Colour Scene
Chemical Brothers
Smiths
Kasabian
Oasis
Verve
Courteeners

Reckon theres a market for this sort stuff on the NW pub circuit?

No chance IMHO - better of sticking to favourites like Paranoid, Wishing Well and Rosie!!! lol

(Don't anybody get upset - it's only a bit of fun!)

I think you'll do well in the right venues. It's never going to work in a rock pub but there's plenty of others out there where you'd go down a storm if it's done well>

Best of luck - go for it!

Absofeckinglutely. But then I'm biased, I was a student in Manchester throughout that scene and would love to see the genre done well.

Not a massive fan of this genre myself but it produced some good tunes that I'm sure would go down well on the circuit. Ironically, The Farm were one of the better bands of this era and they were from (drum roll....................) Liverpool !!!!!...do they get in...

We used to do it in a different band a good few years ago:

Stone roses
Shed 7
Charlatans
Smiths
Ocean Colour Scene
Oasis
Supergrass
Blur
etc

We split after 10 years of enjoying it - and it goes down really well as a lot of it is around 15-20 years old already!

Also played a lot of Weddings as people getting married in their 20s and 30s grew up with it.

Some venue managers etc though, just dont get it. Be prepared to have a good sales pitch though when trying to get in venues.

It looks like it massive now though - so go for it!

Go for it mate! Massive hole in the market right now for this sort of thing. I spent 2 years with an Oasis tribute band, and can honestly say, although the music wasn't exactly taxing, it's the most fun I've had in 25 years of playing!!

Absolute best of luck with it.

Hey there, love this idea, get in touch if you need a bassist/ lead vocal/ guitarist, or help with songs or whatever, I can do all that and more, but not necessarily at the same time!
Good luck with the venture!
