that BK must have passed through my hands at some point, cos there cant be too many knocking around round here...have a look for sellophane marks where I used to stick my blues lyrics...hahaha!
My mate used to work in a sign makers and made me a Ricky name plate for the 12 st...wonder where that ended up...in fact I wonder where all them old 70's guitars ended up?

I had one of their fireglo Rickenfaker basses - decent bass but the pickups weren't quite up to it for modern rock/metal. I think I'd have kept if I needed that style bass for a tribute band or similar.

Dunno Alec, like ya said the Kessels are far n few between, don't think Shaftesbury made too many of em at all, it's in original case, has an odd knob ( that's not uncommon, especially in men of a certain age, pmsl ) and has had the pickguard removed at some stage. I also have two Shaftesbury Telecaster thinlines which are ace, the necks are amazing !!!

Hahaha...just enough room on the side of them guitars to write 'Woke up this morning'...made the rest up ad lib! I just could never remember that opening line!

I love all these old guitars - usually made in Japan - had a Shaftsbury Rickenfaker, Hondo, Hondo II, Teisco, Cimar, Columbus, CSL, Kay- all usually from the same place-
