Divided by 3 Bands it's still Feck All

But some choose to play for free and some are happy to pay to play . That's fine .

Me , I only leave the house for profit and successfully run own business past 20 years . Yeah I'm tight , I don't do nothing for free .

Being in a band can alter reality though . Last night I became a Space Cadet . Ourselves and 2 bands from Manchester braved the weather to provide on stage entertainment in Preston .......... Should I continue ?

Not rocket science fellas, The Inciders did one of those showcases featuring unsigned bands...or similar. The deal probably implies 10% of bar/door takings but in reality everyone knows that bands never make any money out of these gigs.

I think this one can now be put to bed = tried it now, never again....

If 10% = any chance of getting any more gigs (not rep as thats just bollocks) then it worth it, if not don"t go there ever again ,for anything like that i"d try some music festivals\ pub music festivals as at least you get a few free beers ,free camping & a chance to see some really good bands & you have a better chance there of getting the word around.

this is a real genuine shame..Preston is lively and vibrant with a number of venues and lots of great local bands. My only hope is that this informs opinion with regard to the promoters and not other venues in the town or the scene generally.
