We Are After A Guitarist!

Any guitarists fancy joining an awesome new-wave influenced originals band?

We are looking for a new guitarist to join our band. We have recently completed our debut album which was recorded to a release quality standard. Whoever joins will need to be capable of playing whats already been recorded. We are looking for someone with 100% commitment, professional attitude, great image, own transport and quality gear. A sense of humour is a must too. Planning to get back into the studio asap to record new material as well as regular gigs and hopefully a tour.

Backing vocals would be a plus. This is a real opportunity for a serious musician as some incredibly exciting things are on the horizon. Please have a listen to the tracks on our Soundcloud page (http://www.soundcloud.com/super-8-cynics). If you like what you hear and you can play what you hear, then please get in touch with us asap!

Oi, you owe me a CRP ;-) On a serious point if you are looking for a specific age range perhaps you could edit the blog as well as delete the comments where you better define exactly what you are looking for - save anyone else asking the same question.

i think its quite clear Guy, We are certainly not ageist, that why we are willing to stretch the boundaries of what we are after, within reason. I'm not getting into a thread about that, enough real problems to deal with. :)

But I will say this, the music industry is very ageist.Thats just the way it is unfortunately.

aye, 3 quarters of my band also fall into another category the industry doesn't like, but we're a bit Millwall about it ;-)

yes, very. That's why ex King Crimson bassist Gordon Haskell had his first solo hit in his 50s and a band whose name I can't remember feature the father of one of the members on lead gutar - agin twice the average age of the rest of the band.

I was joking by the way - like your tracks and hope you find the person you are looking for ;)

Hi Don, I suspected you might be joking but I've seen how things like this can escalate into something ridiculous on blogs very quickly! So I thought it better to remove where the thread was heading. In the 70's things were different, there was no MTV. Age wasn't important then.

No worries - My band being old fogies avoid photos because some of the holiday venues we play think you have to be 18 - 24 to suit there audience.

Our excuse is that that is our combined mental age.
