I heard Tattoo on planet rock radio, can't say I was impressed, and whats with this "classic" line-up bollox, bet Michael Anthony has something to say about that.

I just love it when people who do the same thing week in week out, i.e. copying other people, slag off those who are trying to do something new. Not actually heard the album, but you know what, I bet EVH and DLR are gagging to play in Preston on a snowy, freezing cold, February night!

And I bet they'd love to do it for £40 each!!

Even better, I wonder if they'd play in my shed? For a few beers, and a reach around?

Perspective people, perspective.

Whatever mate. I bet they'd love to swap places with any of us!! I can imagine Eddie and Dave, right now saying, "What the fuck do we have to do to get on at the Hindley Arms?".

They'd have to wait 'til next year unless they get in quick for a cancellation...

Ive had this for a couple of days now and i have to say.....its a grower.... and i love it

Its sounds kinda women and children first / fair warning with the modern van hagar guitar sound.....

EVH wails ...... he aint lost it..

Alex is effing awesome on the kit ... he aint a portnoy or peart but that hardly means he is a bad un.....

and DLR's vocals are the best he has done since eat em and smile... slightly dissappointing not to have Micheal Anthonys backing vox which were awesome but hey ho!

Tattoo is weak, no arguements ..... Highlights 'As if', 'stay frosty' (ice cream man pt 2) and 'the trouble with never'.....

Its not better than the 6 van halen (with DLR) albums ...... but it is nigh on impossible to beat them IMHO...... But it is a beltin album all the same...

Looking forward to hearing the rest of the Album tho. I love most of the VH albums whether its Dave or Sammy on vox.

Yep I guess the van halen boys won't give a f*ck what we think of it, but hey ho!

Their version of our shed is called England lol
