another clear out -Great Basses and Amps for sale
Due to a surfeit of bass related stuff lying around unused I'm clearing this lot out
LOT 1
A very nice '75 Sunburst Jazz Bass - a real one, that is, not one o the re-issues.
Rosewood f/board, all original, very nice player, well worn in all the right places (Fenders' Custom Shop'd charge you a fortune for this level of relicing and here I am throwing it in for free). The maple neck and headstock face have darkened and yellowed nicely, the frets are all in good order and it comes with a non-original Fender case. £1499
LOT 2
MusicMan Sterling in blue pearl with matching headstock . 1p/u , 3 band eq + 3 way switch for in/out of phase and all that malarkey. Rosewood board. A very handsome and great sounding quality bass from St Luis Obispo, California. OHSC. £799
LOT 3
SWR Rocco Prestia signature amp. Great, simple eq (all knobs, and not too many of 'em) LOADS of power - 750w rms and fantastically well made with the finest ingredients - Mercury Magnetics transformer, for instance. I love this amp, but not as much as my other one, so go it must.
It's in great nick and a bleedin' bargain at £299
LOT 4
Demeter rack-mount (1.5u) VTB201 pre-amp. As used by Leland Sklar amongst MANY others. All valve premium quality stuff, FANTASTIC eq - one of these forms the front end of Bass Player magazines' reference rig, and it's easy to see why.

I paid a fortune for this about 3 years ago 2nd hand from Chandler guitars. It's always been racked and thus is pretty much unmarked. £375
LOT 5
Crest CA9 Power Amp. 600wpc and will bridge to 2000w @4ohms.
This a proper pro power amp, not to be confused with yer Behringers or budget Crowns etc and it will kick out some serious tight-ended power without any fuss or extraneous noises. By coincidence, this amp comprises the other end of Bass Players ref. rig and, again, one can see why. £300, and if you buy it with lot 4, I'll throw in a Gator 4u ABS wheely suitcase type rack.
