sunday night at the flamin galah

Well, what a night! It's always a treat to see Burly on one of their rare outings, but last night they were really on form. Fro the metalled up version of Supercalifradgeous that is Scarey Poppins, to the mashed together versions of Enter Sandman and Venus - whew, the place was on fire. Jez on main vocals only managed one blatant screw-up, but Stu stepped in seamlessly as second main vocal and storming rhythm guitar - a true metal monger if ever there was one. Mikey C hid his light behind a speaker as usual, but that didn't stop the blinding lead guitar. And what can be said about Larry the peerless bass player who held it all together with such poise and finesse (well, he didn't make any obvious cock-ups) and sang backing aswell. Oh and Greg played drums a bit. Every track was recieved to thunderous applause and the dancing was ariot. Here's to many more Burly nights and sooner rather than later!
