Bit of an update on profile urls

Howdy

Just a bit of an update regarding profile urls... to ensure we have a smooth transition over to the new site.

You may have noticed previsouly that if you typed in your profile url into the address bar e.g. www.northwestbands.co.uk/woody ...then the server would have redirected you to www.northwestbands.co.uk/profile/?id=134

Now, when you type in www.northwestbands.co.uk/automaticheart , (for example), the server no longer does a redirect, so the profile url remains in the address bar. This bodes a lot better in terms of SEO, and thus giving you better presence in google searches.

The old /profile/?id=134 style links should auto linkto the new /woody style links, so there's nothing to worry about. Google should eventually drop any old style links from its listings, and update with the new link.

Cheers!
