NWB Showcase - The Aftermath!!

Big thanks to everyone involved

Big thanks to everyone who popped down to the Pheasant Pluckers for the NWB showcase - It was a great opportunity to put some faces to names, and say hello.

We had some excellent acts - The idea was to get an array of different bands/styles involved, to give the night a range of dynamics, and I think it worked. Would have been great to finish the night off with a rockband, but, maybe next time!

Big thanks to Sabre Pete for bringing down his drums, sorting out some raffle prizes, making some nosh, Helping out on the sound desk, and selling raffle tickets. One all round top bloke! Thanks PETE! NWB Loves ya - Oooo. and the drum off at the end of the night was amazing!

Massive thanks to Alyerpal of CREATION signage for providing the NWB back drops. Be sure to give him a call/msg if you need any band backdrops,.. they are top notch quality, and looked great on stage.

Another big thanks for the all the bands - everyone turned up on time, and things kept to schedule pretty well. Nice one!

Will there be another showcase?? - well... hell yeah.. why not!!

Hope you all had a good time.. and I'm looking forward to your feedback/suggestions and thoughts.

Thanks Paul and Vicky for all your hard work tonight and in general. Where would a lot of these bands be without the help of this site and making them loads of money and keeping them on the road which was a comment made by the Lazzy band who were there tonight...

Name tags next time???

I'm sure I'll find out that there were loads of people I wanted to meet but didn't. It was very awkward at first as I went alone; however I knew Martin@Punch Bowl, said Hi to Mr & Mrs NWB, chuckled at SocialTornado's car issues, was adopted by by Sabre Bill and Co, and finally got to have a good chat with Mark@Anthem.

There were other faces I knew of but had no means of introduction. I saw Twin Lizzy and Riff/Ruins guys with Shell (looking great even with 3 day hangover)

But RobDog? Wolfpack? LazzyBand? sorry guys just didn't get introduced. Had I known who you were, I would have spoken up.

(Rock n) Roll on the next one.

the best thing about the entire night, I've never seen so many musicians in one place without any ego problems or bitching. The Download, V, Reading & Leeds etc people should come to the next one to see how it's done properly. Top night and great to put faces to the names, see you next time

Quality night guys. Car issues aside, it was good to meet a few people. I'll drag a few members of the Whatever crew along next time and get involved! Well done Paul and Sabre Pete who seemed to be holding it all together.

Congrats to everyone involved in putting on the showcase last night and great to catch up with everyone. It really does give us all an opportunity to talk about all thing music and meet some new friends.
Great idea and will be attending the next one.I could'nt believe I would be talking to Ian (RiffRaff) and Mark (Anthem) about playing working Mens clubs, how cool's that (not)

Well done again

Cheers

next time for the drum off, you and me socialtonado lol - I'm up for this Pete. I was so distracted by my fookin motor and there seemed to be hundreds of BMW experts in the car park!! Just wound me up something chronic. Next time, we'll get it sorted. Get in touch and we can plan it.

"Name tags next time???"

Not a bad idea!...... Managed to speak to a few of Riff Raff, Twin Lizzy, TheBigFish, The Empire State.... and my own Lazzy members who I haven't seen for about a month! lol..
Managed to record almost all of the performances of the bands with my camcorder, but had to leave before the Jam bit, so sorry if you got left out..I'll obviously upload some of the stuff to perverts.com in due course!... I've got a few ideas for next time which would involve people getting stuck in right from the start!
..Oooo! "Stuck in"! ;-)

And we found out we live near AlyerPal. Kewl.
