Any suggestions?

Hey everyone

Up to now I have been using Cool Edit Pro 2, but I want to upgrade. Any ideas? It needs to run on a WIn XP computer.

Thanks

Depends on what you mean by upgrade mate? What functionality do you want?

Try Cubase, keep you busy for months and give you plenty of excercise running into the garden to pick up the PC after you've thrown it out of the bedroom window..worth it though..lol

Yeah, Cubase is an industry standard, as is Cakewalk. If it's simple recording you need, I'd just download Audacity. It's free and very useful. It's what I use most of the time.

I use Magix Samplitude music studio 15, but am interested myself as to what the guys on here use and what they think gives the best overall quality mix.

i would go with sonar too, it just seems a bit more user friendly than cubase, also has unlimited amount of plug-ins per track, as many as your pc can handle really. i have been running various versions of sonar for a few years with no problems to report on xp.
