We all have 'em. What's yours?
Ok I'll start. I'd love to be in a Heart covers band. There. I said it. Who's next?
or do you mean 'love to be in Nancy' ..;-) Quo covers .............
lmao, well that too. ;o)
UFO boys, I would really love to do the whole of 'Strabgers in the Night' as a tribute to a great band and a great era in British rock
'Strabgers'?
I was in a kiss tribute years ago for a few months....but would love to be in a beach boys band
No2: Scorpions covers. I STILL want a Matthias Jabs Explorer \m/\m/
Rush tribute, pretty difficult to get an accurate drumer though

# Posted by Anthem - 11/06/2009, 12:26 (GMT) Rush tribute, pretty difficult to get an accurate drumer though Even harder to find a Geddy Lee!!! Vocal pitch, Play those bass lines AND Taurus Bass pedals & Synths...
I'd love to be in a Jeff Beck trib band...
yeah Nancy Wilson(the non big one in Heart) still looks pretty good , shes married to Cameron Crowe(film director of Jerry Maguire and others) guilty pleasure tribute band would have to be Poison!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I LOVE Victim Of Changes by Judas Priest. That's a proper vocal - take that emo bedwetters! I also like lots of early 80s postpunk/electronica/goff/industrial stuff.
Victim of Changes is my favourite rock song, and Halford is my favourite rock singer. No-one screams like him \m/ \m/
"Victim of Changes is my favourite rock song, and Halford is my favourite rock singer. No-one screams like him \m/ \m/" Quality! Jon

re Judas priest i think the album screaming for vengeance(with the songs youve got another thing comin,hellion/electric eye, screaming for vengeance , and bloodstone) is an even better album than british steel
A Priest covers band would be excellent. It'd be a job and a half trying to find a Halford though. Even if one could sing like that the stage presence thing is pivotal when seeing them live. I saw them on the Evening Star tour way back when. Came out of Preston Guild Hall stunned. lol!
no one does it better than "the Priest", me fav band. Wasted many an hour playing along to priest tunes. Seen them many times over the years.
Good lad.Even though I don't have a fave band these days I had priest as top dogs for a looooong time. Also Halford solo stuff was pretty kicking.
I know a lad called Jason that was once interested in a priest trib band.. great vocalist. For me.. Journey... and I had the opportunity once but it was a non-starter.. but I found D.O.A. too tricky at the audition; that and the fact that Steve Perry wasn't present at the audition for me to critique.
I'd love to be in a Journey tribute band. Bloody awesome :)
Journey are brill, Escape is an ace album, actually i need some help on this i wanna get a coupla more albums by them, whats the best other 1 or 2 to get, ive been told Frontiers is very good
Priest trib would be a laugh, my sound is not unlike messrs Tipton and Downing, only cos they use the same preamp as me, nothing else lol
Haven't Journey turned into their OWN tribute band recently? lol
that new Journey singer is really really good trust me its like with the band Foreigner, i really miss the fact that Lou Gramm isnt with them, but heard hes past his best anyway cos he was very ill for ages, damn shame
If your interested Rob there's a Journey tribute band on at Rochdale Transport Club this Sat.....don't know what they're like tho' but Barry doesn't normally put rubbish trib bands on
Oh thats if your NWB Jolly Boys night out has hit the buffers
My mate's band play a bit of Journey. Check them out on youtube, they're called Piggery bandana. I taught the drummer, lol
on the Priest vocals i dont think our Dave does a bad job of Beyond the realms of death ...... imho !!!
i just left a band that did 3 priest covers... Diamonds and Rust Green Manalishi The Ripper Great fun to play..
and 2 of them are covers by other artists james .b4 yr time 'Rust'is by Joan Baez & manilishi by the blues Fleetwood mac ....
'Angel of retribution' thats a good priest album... Riffraff Dave executes 'Hell bent for leather' brilliantly ...
@RiffRaff I knew they were covers cheeky!!! but we covered in the style of priest's covers (if you get my meaning)
Nik Kershaw ....... rock on baby! WillowtheFish
Guilty pleasure......got to be Lacuna Coil, just need her boots!!!1 and it would be a fab excuse to buy them ha ha

I'd love to be in a Guns & Roses tribute band but unfortunately that would mean being a bloke......shucks! I don't intend a GB anytime soon so that is outta the question lol
