Big thankyou to everyone at the Sabre gig at Astley Village Barons Rest this afternoon. Standin in a puddle of rain with 2000 volts of Ibanez JS1 (not earthed) round me neck....Marks speakers gettin wet..blowin and catchin fire....it doesnt get much more rock than that. And the band played on! One to be remembered. Special thanks to the Millenium Bikers whos support was endless. Hope to see you alll at the Rose and Crown next satdy. Big thanks too to me Dad...comin to watch the beast he unleashed!. Final big thanks to BBC4 for puttin the Lizzy concert on last nite!. Rubikon

I'll second that Rubikon.Yeah its a bit hairy holdin onto yer mic stand when you can see sparks flyin out the bass cabs either side the stage area.I used to sing Fire and Water by Paul Rodgers and yeah we had that in buckets today.Hmm perhaps a bit over the top on the fire bit.
Thanks to all that braved it,espescially Millenium Bikers club.Another great Sabre gig.

well i was bricking it, the water was pouring down me neck with a plastic smile on my face that everything was under control, the audience picked up thier tripple gazeebo and marched it over to our stage one like a mutated giant umbrella, what a crazy afternoon, im begining to worry now, everywhere i go somthing bonkers happens, well done the rest of our band, you are the best.

Im not sure if it was actually funny now or not ?
Possibly the most expensive and 'not to self' lesson learned paper cones do not work in the rain ! gig Ive ever done, it was a g ood cause, and i think all enjoyed the gig, one for the history books, water dripping in from the roof, onto my cymbols, then running off onto the rest of the kit, getting a water splash in the face when you hit a drum is not so amusing, and with water dripping under my pedals !!!!!

suppose it was a laugh at the time, but maybe a little dangerous !!

Regards Mark

Now then boys, what's all this talk of rain when you had an authentic piece of marquee material to shelter under? Just to say it was great to meet all of you (Tony, Bill, Mark and Graham, and ofcourse Pete) at the PP the other night. Hope I didn't put you off your practise too much. Tony, I think we need to have a chat about BOC sometime (I noticed the hook tattoo on your arm - is Secret Treaties the best album of all time?) and I'll try to catch you all soon
