Ukelele cravings

I want one

Anyone out there got any advice on Ukeleles? I'd like to learn how to play one.

Any advice on what I should look for when buying one would be grand too. Don't fancy spending much as I reckon it'll almost certainly be a fleeting romance, but still, would be nice to say "i've been there"

ive got a uke! their gr8!

dont spend too much on one as they can be 1 minute wonders but i do love picking mine up from time to time and having a do.

if you just search for ukele chords on google you can find some pretty decent info on how to tune em and find some easy basic chords.

off the top of my head i think its G C E A from bottom - top (thinking of the strings in guitar terms)

the best thing is trying to figure out well known tunes on em, im working on something by the beatles!

get one bought and enjoy it!

My mate reckons I should get one of these bad boys

But I think i'll go for the classic version. I've heard they are a nightmare to tune, but to be honest, my voice is also a nightmare to tune, so i'm kind of used to that

When payday comes, the ukelele cometh.

I've been seduced by this song from The Jerk...

I don't know anything about them as such, but you might save up for one by cleaning windows....?

I'll get my coat.

Turned out nice again.....

Its a great clip, Steve Martin is hilarious. In all honesty, i'm using that song to try and get birds - isn't that what playing music is all about? Its instantly become part of my set now, taking my list up to about 7 songs!

I'll sing the harmonies for you "Iknow Iknow" eksetra....."
And yes it is all about getting birds. Now I'm married we've got a bird feeder and we get robins and blackbirds and finches and partridges in pear trees (but only once a year!).
;-)
