Couldn't agree more Rob.

Got an email this morning from a website called PartyPOP saying thanks for registering our band on their website, but we hadn't. Anyway gets a call this afternoon from some guy from this PartyPOP company supposedly located in Los Angeles (with English accent) wanting us to pay for a band webpage on their site for a few hundred quid. He went on & on about how their site's the most popular in the world for party/wedding/event based businesses and how advertising with them would 'guarantee' us loads of gigs paying up to a grand.

Might be good for a tribute band travelling the country or Europe but for North West bands, there's really only ever one place you need to be.

Like you all say, it is a great site. Nice to meet and watch bands off this site. Good to get gigs and feedback from gigs as well.
I'm going to pm Paul with an idea I've got to help with the running costs and I think you will all like it.
Rick.

You'd be surprised, we've played loads of wedding do's, even posh ones... you should see the looks we get firing straight into The Jam then straight into the Pistols' Pretty Vacant second... people think we're taking the piss, which is all well good as long as they don't screw us for cash at the end!

... but I'll never forget the one where we got a bride in a 3-grand wedding dress to do a running dive on the dancefloor for a mass pile-on!
