Just for the record...
Whatever! have never and will never "steal" musicians from another band and I would prefer it if I didn't hear any more suggestions to the contrary. That is all.

Well I'd say no such thing as stealing a musicians. So don't matter anyway if people are saying stuff. Everyone is a free spirit and allowed to leave and join as they wish...I wouldn't fall out if a band offered a position and a band ember took it up. Just one of them things. No-one is irreplaceable.
Don't really want to go into details, but it has been suggested that we "stole" our new musicians from another band. Just wanted to draw a line under it to be honest.
And I only say this because it came back to me through a venue. Not very professional or mature in my opinion.
Just sounds like sour grapes to me.It's not as if you kidnapped them and forced them to join your band. It's their responsibility to answer the accusations, not yours. How do you think most bands are formed. You're watching a band, you see a singer or guitarist who is outstanding and you think they would suit your band, so you quietly go up and ask them if they'd be interested. What's wrong with that? (unless it's Bruce Dickinson of course and he was asked in full view of everyone to leave Samson to join Iron Maiden) loljust laugh it off dude
yeah fuck em pal, at the end of the day the member concerned joined your band coz he thought you/the prospects were better and thats the end of it. its his/her decision and if there is any flak they should be taking it. its shitty that its come back to you through a venue though, thats really low. definately a big case of sour grapes though
For the record, as a previous member of Whatever, I have obsolutely nothing at all to do with this. Whatever are a top band.

Hi its Daddy whatever here!!!!!!!!! Just to clarify this nonsense, ads were put up and people applied that's how the new members joined us. We didnt aproach anyone.If people want to spit their dummys out contact us not the venues. Anyway i approached girls alound and nothing came of that except an injunction but that's another story. :(
Hey gotta say saw the new line up last weekend and wow do they deliver! - get em booked quick for an indie night everything from Kings of Leon, Oasis, Arctic Monkeys to Primal Scream - pro sound and full lights and all!
Tell the other band to FUCK OFF and stop crying. You guys keep rockin!

as a member of the previous band i have no idea where this has come from but it certaunly hasn't come from members of the previous band!! if it has come via a venue i can only think of a certain one who phoned me yesterday to ask something about the bands gig in november and i said we could no longer do the gig as 2 members of the band have now joined whatever? if anyone has misunderstood this thats their problem, but the remaining members of the band have no problem with the loss of the other two i can assure you :)

dont worry about it chaps, just keep looking forward and keep smiling, its all part of the territory , this stuff can be very annoying, i think weve all been on the receiving end of chinese whispers in our musical lives......
If the above is correct, then let that be an end to it.
Good on ya Billy B for setting the record straight. These things can get out of control so nice one for jumping in an giving the other side. I'm sure Whatever appreciate hearing from the horses mouth. We is all happy again now. YAY!
Oh well never mind all sorted now.
