Funny scam attempt

It could happen to you!

Ok.. Was well over 2 years ago when this happend but I've actually heard of it happening a few more times so I'll make you all aware of a rather crafty scam attempt.. This time it doesn't involve the usual "Oil Magnate Uncle died and left $1000000 dollars in Lagos and we need your help to get it out of the country' but it's involving BANDS now...

Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin...

The band was fairly new at the time and any gig was a blessing in disguise.. One day I got an email from someone asking if we could do a private function in Bolton for £400.. £400 jeez, I jumped at the chance like anyone would..

Then things started getting a bit weird.. Asking for bank account details as they wanted to pay upfront.. Obviously alarm bells started ringing here so I started getting a bit inquisitive and asked a few questions of my own..

Where is the place? Did they have a photo of the area where they wanted us to play (Was supposed to take place outside in the back garden).. It all got a bit weird and no photos would arrive.. Then he sent me a picture of his garden.. Now this part almost made me fall off my chair with laughter.. It was a bloody farmers field with some guy and a sheep straiught from google images!!!! When I got the postcode and did a google map search of the address, the garden was about 3 feet wide.. hahahahaha!

Just be careful lol!
