Just say shopping and NOT Arena as they anticipate....
Then you don't have to pay the £6 they charge you if you are going to the Arena (?!?!?)
This is how it went for me on Saturday..
Parking attendant:
"Arena"
Me: (thinking why you asking) "err Yeah ..No why whats the difference"
Parking attendant: "Event parking is £6"
Me: "It say all day parking £3 back there"
Parking attendant: "Not for the Arena.."
Me: " !? Shopping then.."
Parking attendant: "Yeah but you said Arena.."
then ensued a one sided argument to which the parking attendant had no defence other than the fact that a sign sits on the wall saying "Does not apply to event parking". To which I tried to assure him I was going shopping, he would not have it , asked me to leave the car park or pay the £6...clock was ticking ...kids agitated...dinosaurs due to take to the Arena floor.. I had to pay the man or Park elsewhere.
How and why can they charge double, when your taking the same space a shopper would for less time ?
I WAS 'LEGALLY' MUGGED - IN BROAD DAYLIGHT IN MY OWN CAR IN FRONT OF THE WIFE AND KIDS.
So please take liberty next time your there as an indirect redemption of my misfortune.
