Worthy of the Rockband franchise?

Was just mooching on Amazon and noticed that a new ROCKBAND is coming out showchasing the hits of the Beatles

The set even comes with a Rickenbacker guitar!!

This is sure to be a big hit leading upto xmas, but arent there other bands out there that are more worthy of the Rockband/Guitar Hero treatment?!?!

As a final thought - There's even a LEGO ROCKBAND game coming out. Be good if they released some minfigures of Slash, Brian May, and Vai!!

I've got the AC/DC track pack, and must admit, its darn good fun, especially on the drums.

Not quite sure how the Beatles music would work/sound on RB/GH - might sounds a bit dated. There's only soo many times you can listen to Hey Jude.

As John Lennon once said.. "Ringo star isnt the best drummer in the world, he's not even the best drummer in the beatles"

I'm looking forward to this, mostly so I can get hold of all the multi-tracks. Some clever bugger rips all the individual tracks off the rock band/guitar hero discs so you can mix them yourself...

hang on just one cotton picking minute. Aren't we talking oxymoron here? I mean The Beatles (can you get anymore poptastic/psychadelia) and ROCKband? Surely the two are mutually exclusive. Metallica + rock, yep, that works. So does AC/DC + rock. But, The Beatles? The Beatles?? Wot next, Rockband the ABBA game.........

Exactly my thoughts too - and hence the posting.

The Lego Rockband game made me chuckle, as in the previous Lego games the characters dont actually speak, its all mute in Chalie Chaplin stylee.
