WTF is Twitter anyways??????????? I'm told we need to be on it so I've joined up ha ha, nowt like being a sheep following the herd lol. Has anyone seen any benefit on joining this? cheers Scott
hey scott we're on there and so far not really seen any benefits. but i think if you can get your fans and friends on there its a nice, easily accesible way of communicating gigs etc on there. a lot of people use it and check it on their mobile phones so you dont just have to be on the internet to use it
ah okI'll probably not use it but I've signed up anyways :-)
I have a personal account but not one for the band - it seems a little useless to me IMHO, and facebook and myspace generally do the trick for getting gig info out there...
yeah agreed on the myspace/facebook comment. but i do think if you can get some of your friends fans etc on twitter it would probably be better.
Its usefull for me, as I can relay NWB status messages if the site goes down/offline for any reason. In the new NWB you'll be able to display you twitter feed in your profile. So its a good way to syndicate your news/updates even further.
nice touch
cool
Yeah I'd agree with the comments. I think its good for status messages for NWB. Great idea. I know a few bands on it, but don't know if they've really seen any benefits from it really. I'm personally on it, but decided not to put Steelfield on it. I think you need more of a visual presence for a band, rather than just a quick note.
I guess time will tell if it's useful or notstill can't do any harm. Might be good for gig announcements and reminders of up-coming gigs. We shall see :-)
