What genre are we?

www.myspace.com/socialicons - just clips of our songs but you'll get the idea

How would you classify us??? Everyone always asks us what band we are, rock metal etc? But I haven't got a clue lol I'd say definately rock, but possibly heavier. If anyone can help with this, I'd be very grateful.

Thanks in advance

Mr. C

If you scrapped the Bryan Adams thing [which is pop rock innit!] you'd be Heavy Rock with Indie vocals?
So you could be listed as either "Rock" or "Indie" in my humble opinion!

Defo not indie so don't worry yourselves there mate.

Its more Rock less alternative rock but could slip into alt rock.

You don't have to growl to be rock

just had a listen-some excellent stuff there. now-your genre? if you REALLY must have a "genre", my son (25) listens to quite a lot of music very similar to yours, he calls it "nu-metal". ROCK it certainly does, though!! :-)

Deffo not Indie!
But ....... I wouldn't worry about being pigeon holed by being described by one word or phrase ....... bits of your stuff is, like the ViKing says, nu-metal but if I had to pick one other band's influence that I think permeates through some of the tracks on your myspace it would be .......
notice i said " I think" and "some of the tracks"

The Red Hot Chilli Peppers!!

now, what are they classed as???

Now I like this game ........ can I have a genre please?

A place I've applied for a gig for says they want rock/metal, but not nu-metal. I wanted to know what you guys thought about our genre before I get back to her. Don't wanna turn up and be nu-metal do we? When I think of nu-metal I think of Korn, Limp Bizkit, Head P.E. but I guess my influences do stem from bands like Korn and Deftones. Oh dear lol

i dislike putting definitive labels on bands- however-in my experience,, when a venue asks for "rock/metal" they, usually, mean ""old school rock/metal" (maiden, priest, sabbath etc).i could be wrong on this, though?:-only way of making sure is call in on a band night and check out what is being played? :-)

Ignoring the indie bit thing!
I'd say your much more rock tha nu-meatal!
Get the gig,do the gig,let them make up there own minds?
Put on a good show and no one's gonna nitpic about classifying your genre!
