Have your say...

Ours was defintely where we had our first gig:

Club Nirvana in Wigan on the main stage on an under 18s night - the crowd were responsive and very energetic.

marigolds, the punch bowl, trawden arms and coolers. all great venues where theres not only a great reception from the punters but also cracking landlords/ladies. never had a bad gig at any of these venues and cant wait to go back to em!

We're big fans of Rossall Tavern and The Steamer in Fleetwood, The Albert in Blackpool, The Ainsworth Arms in Bolton and The Vic in St Annes! All brilliant crowds up for a good night!

It would be less dodgy to do a "whats the worst venue you play"
Less people would get upset?

I'm with Ian - there are so many that are great to play! The Griffin Inn in Mold is an particularly unexpected delight though - it looks like such a tiny, quaint village when you first play there, you don't realise until you get started how much they love their rock! :-) Ann x

PS: I don't think the 'worst venue' blog would be any easier/less upsetting, Dyehouse, but I see your thinking behind it!!! Lol! :-) Ann x

Anywhere where the crowd are up for it really, and of course where you get paid what you were promised and didn't have to renegotiate your fee!

Venues where we go down well and have no bother with LLs - including Bakers Vault (Stockport), Griffin Inn (Mold), Queens (Colne), Werneth (Oldham), Witton Chimes (Northwich).

Agree with the Fix.
Marigolds is always a good one.
The Flaming Gallah has always been a food one for us.
The Millstone.
As has been said anywhere where the crowd are up for it.
Thats what makes the venue, for the band anyway.

For us the best venue to date is the Derby Arms in Colne really responsive crowd and great atmosphere.
