How much do you pay and where?

Theres a new place just joined NWB posting there rehearsal rate at a Whoppin £12 per hour?
We normally would only pay £30 for a 4hr rehearsal!
We have used a few various places around the North West some good some grotty some clean some big some small?!
We should have a NWB directory of rehearsal rooms and there charges?
Please post the places you have used and give it a review?

Only snag is Keef!
It would cost us £100 just to get there?
Might be handy for Dakota or other bands in that area though!
Nice one Keef!

Yeah, its well off the beaten track G, but if local bands want to keep the overheads down to a minimum a simple phone call to me and its sorted. Dakota, with the exception of Trig are Bolton based, so same problem getting there.

We've used "Catalyst Studios" in St.Helens many times in the past.
It says on their website:

"The room costs £5 per hour with a minimum booking of 4 hours."
.
Here's their website:

Believe it or not we practise in Brighouse nr Leeds at a place called The Bassments (don't know the address, just know where it is, but if you google it you'll get it). £27 for 3 hrs. Run by a guy called Mervin - he proivides PA, guitar amps and bass amps and a kit (apart from snare and cymbals. Only 5 rooms, but all pretyy good, and because we have to take so littlte stuff, we don't lose an hour getting in, getting set up and getting out at the end.

Don't know if we are just privileged, but we rent a room for £35/wk. 24/7 access. Private locked room, leave the gear there, just turn up, turn on and away we go.

That's ok if you rehearse on a regular basis!
We only have one once or twice a year when we get a new member or have a difficult song to get down?
Would be handy to have though, but not for us as were not local to each other!

Seriously guys, and I know that Dyehouse and Dakota have had a look and are impressed, there's a new place close to the centre of Bolton called Gatehouse Live. It's run by the keyboard player in U.S.Mail, a guy called Lee who's put a lot of hard work into the place. Very reasonable rates and facilities (refreshments , accessories etc) and there's a Tesco Express right next door! check out this link for all the info:

I think "The Gatehouse" is gonna be the one for Dyehouse!
It's got our name on the tin? [well half of it?]
