Any tips to stop my trusty mic rusting?

Hey all,

I've had my faithfull SM58 for about 3 years now and it has served me well.
For the past couple of months though i've noticed that the grill gets rusty between practices / gigs.
Do I need to have my sailva glands removed or is there anything else I can do to stop this happening.
I could of course shell out for a new grill but wondered whether anyone had any other ideas?

Cheers
Steve.

WD40 on a cloth wipe it on after use!!! Or!! Say it dont spray it!!!

WD40 does everything if ever there is a problem,
and no one else can help
whip out the WD40
dont leave it on the shelf

A litle poem too

You must be a right spitter! Never had that problem myself and I've had mine for 5 years. If WD don't work you can buy new grills but they are a bit expensive for what they are, see dolphin, or ebay for sure-a-like grills

Take off the grill and soak it in coke (the drink that is) it works a treat. So what does it do to your guts?

I've found that if you keep dropping them or bouncing them off the guitar players heads they don't last long enough to go rusty, I've prevented lots of equipment from going rusty this way especially tamborines but it does cost a bloody fortune, go with the WD-40 advice (it's Oldham's best export), to save money.
