A little review!!

Played The Retro Bar last night, in St Helens. New Rock night starting.

In all fairness, there wasn't that many people there, but there was a good atmosphere. Being the first rock night, we were not expecting a pub full!! The stage area was ample to say the least, and the appreciative audience danced and sang along all night! Julia and Brian are absolute stars, and give us one hell of a welcome!

We were one of 2 bands on that night. Bullet Buffet kicked the whole thing off. Fantastic bunch of guys!! Loved their set, some real unexpected songs, inc an ace version of Crazy Train! Get out and see these guys if you get the chance!

The Reto Bar are just starting off with bands, if you have a spare night, and are willing to do petrol money only for a while give these guys a shout!!!

Hey all in all great night, enjoyed every minute of it!!

Hope you both had a good time!? It's always tough trying to get a new venue off the ground with bands. It takes time to build up. e.g The Bell & Barrel on Friday nights, just down the road from the Retro Bar, is THE, well-established place to play at in St.Helens...All the best to the Retro Bar! Keep plugging & plugging it.

I had Buffet play at the Oak last week end, cracking bunch of lads and a clever set. Good to know they went down well.

Best of luck to the venue as well, from personal experience I know how much effort goes into getting a new venue up and running.
