Web Hosting

Any recommendations?

We are looking to register a domain name and get some very cheap, if not free, hosting.
Google is a minefield. I can't tell the good ones from the rip-offs.

Who do you use?

We need to design our own pages or at least upload templates, rather than be at the mercy of the host.

I've used ww.123reg.co.uk for domain names and lycos for a free website. Only get 50mb of space though.

I can sort it all out for you quite cheap. I've done the Whittles website

http://www.whittles-oldham.com

and I can do something similar for anyone including a domain name and hosting for less than £100 plus £20 a year. Or I can register a domain & host it for you for £20 a year. Get in touch at

judas@judaspissed.co.uk

or check out

We got our domain name for free at www.one.com and free hosting for a year. After that it's £19 per year. There is a web builder, including some standard designs, or you can source a template from tinternet and use that.
The other band use 1&1 Internet. They are offering free hosting as well.

Thanks for all the replies guys.
Judas--sorry but I have been a little impatient. After posting on here I registered www.ontheedge.info before the replies came in. That cost me 11 quid for 2 years. Should've waited for you! I'll ask the rest of the band what they want to do and I'll be in touch.

Thanks again everyone.

NWB is on a fasthost.co.uk dedicated server. I'd recommend one of their cheap shared hosting accounts, (starting from 3.99 a month).

Check out some cool deals on webhosting over on voucherz.co.uk
