A prompt-word or phrase for each verse, stuck on the back of the PA speaker seems to work!....AND... you ain't accused of crib-sheet reading!...Sneaky, eh?

I still have to have some lyrics with me for the time being - we've learned so many songs in such a short space of time that it's necessary. I'm phasing them out gradually though :D

Used to sing "We didn't start the fire" by Billy Joel...... Now that's a Bstard to sing lol

I have seem bands with Lyric sheets in front of them and it didn't offend me.

Best wishes

John

i use a stand with the lyrics in front of me. I wish I didn't but we change songs so bloody often (or we used to)! Also they're in order so I don't need a set list!
But, unfortunately now they're like a crutch - I can sing most songs without 'em, but it's weird - singing along without looking at them, if I happen to glance at them and don't glance at the right place it makes me cock up big time!
Strange!
WillowLeslieWelchNot <--- see how many get that!! lol

I sort of run the lyrics as a story and visualise it in my head, so as I'm singing the track the mental images that I have prompt me. It seems to work unless I have a drink lol
