MIDI leads

Surely it can't be THIS hard to find one??????

I've been trying to find a 20 foot MIDI cable. I want to try and use my Line6 X3 Live as a controller for my Switchblade amp. I know a guy in the U.S. that has done this successfully and is able to use some of the x3 effects (whammy etc) that the switchblade doesn't have.

I have tried everywhere I can think of locally. NOBODY does 20 footers. I can get a 3 metre cable, but I want to stand somewhere AWAY from my amp.

Does anyone know where I can get such a beast?

hiya i think some of mine are 15 footers, got them off ebay, they may even be 20

im sure they do 20 footers, cos i think 20 foot is the longest they do without adding a midi box to extend

I hear that. My rig for the last 5 years or so has involved a full floor unit of some sort. I FLATLEY refuse to jump all over individual pedals! Get it? Get it?

absolutely yes, terrible joke

yep on the floor now only, boss fc50 midi pedal tuner and wah, thats it!! i can use the boss midi to control the marshall jmp-1 and rocktron replifex together, nice :-) especially when jumping form a chorused clean delayed sound to a heavily overdriven sound with one tap, heaven!!

even my beloved Boss chorus and super overdrive are at home for practice only now

Can you not get male to female adapters from Maplins and join a few leads together? :)

I'd thought of doing that but initially got "we don't do them" responses from the music stores. lol

I've since found out from my mate in the US that A: He's using 5 pin in the 7 pin input and it works fine so B: The 10 metre Neutrik cable on Ebay (audio spares in Nottingham) will do the job. :oD
