thursday nights for gigs ? what do you think?

thinking of testing the water for a thursday night does anyone go watching bands on a thursday?

No harm in doing a trial run, but it's alwas difficult getting a weekday crowd. maybe do a trial with originals bands as they don't expect the same level of payment - I know Social Icons would do it for free or next to nothing...

Well Fri morn work commits could be an issue for most bands but im sure one a month or so wouldnt be to bad, so yep its a good idea

if anyone knows any new bands or originals who will do it for a beers and petrol money let me know. Everyones got to start somewhere! and we have a great venue with a pretty big stage! and power points!

We will do it - need a regular gig if you're willing to put us on a few times to build up an audience.

I regularly attend one of the two Jam Nights here in Atherton every Thursday. There seems to be a fairly dedicated crowd of folk most weeks that turn up....both to watch and play.

So I reckon that a Thursday could work (punter wise) especially if not planned for every week.

i'll have a word with the lads but with a big travel for us it might not be possible for just petrol money.
leave it with me and i'll gauge band opinion! ;-)
