45's Covers Band - Gig

Good to see Rick and the band in action...

After meeting Rick and other half Anne for the first time on Saturday (whilst picking up a copy of the NWB disk) found out the 45's were playing the Hollywood Social Club in Bolton. No Tuskan gig so me and the better half (Debi) decided to meet up and see the band in action.

Have you ever tried finding the Hollywood Social Club? - its a bit like finding to right station to Hogwarts in Harry Potter - don't think its there all the time and you need a special password for it to appear!

As a result I missed the first few songs (sorry Rick!).

Got there in time for a Hendrix medley of Purple Haze and Hey Joe followed by More Than A feeling - a tough song song to sing but Nicki pulled it off.

Second set after a tweak to the sound was even better - Blondie Medley really good and Sweet Child also excellent - Luke's a really good guitarist that needs to impose himself more and let the crowd know how good he is - did you take his volume control off him Rick?

A great night with a really nice bunch of people - cant help but think that based on the Dyehouse review of the Ridgway next weeks gig might be a tad different!

Thanks for the hospitality Rick & Anne - see you soon.
