May I recommend

Hi folks

I've heard that venues are now asking for band equipment to be PAT tested. This is especially so at function/wedding gigs.

Have a look at http://www.pattestingnorthwest.co.uk/ - providing an excellent PAT testing service in the NW.

Mention NWB, and you will get a 10% discount. Top stuff!

It's been mentioned on here many times but we all play venues where there's just a couple of power ponts and we have four ways plugged into four ways.....PAT testing is irrelevant at those tyes of venues.

It's never been even brought up when i play with marseille @ places like The Cavern etc....I really think it is only hotels and function rooms that make it an issue at present though if you are in that kind of an act then yes I think you need to get it sorted.

Hi we had to pat test all our gear for a gig at the ramada jarvis at blackrod, also had to have public liability insurance, if it hadnt been a worthwhile charity gig we wouldnt have done it, a mate did the pat testing cheap but the insurance was £110.00,although with the current claim for anything culture wont be long before some pisshead trips on a lead and claims.
