I didn't get custody of the PA :0(

We are winding up the duo as Dave is returning to his ancestral pile down south. The PA we have been using (2 skytec 350w powered speakers, Behringer 240fx desk & odds and sods) we bought between us, and as we both fancied keeping it we decided to toss for it..I lost :O( . Anyhoo..Im looking for summat similar to the set up we had which was more than adequate for our needs, so if anybody is offloading anything..preferably active..(so much easier), let me know. Don't wanna pay an arm and a leg..summat solid at around about 1000w.

Call me nosey but wouldn't it be fairer if Dave bought your half of the PA if he's taking it?

oops..forget to mention that SB. We kept a record of what we paid out for the gear and split it right down the middle so I get half of that. We both wanted to hang on to it so it just seemed fair to toss for who got the gear and who got the pennies. Hope that clears it up..lol
P.S...anybody need a bass player?..lol

ohh the penny has dropped, we thought you where a big gambling man tossing it off for the whole PA, The toss was over the possesion of the PA. but the loser still pays his share, perchink. anyway Kev whats your plans next then.

not too sure pete..was gonna go down and meet some guy who was looking for a bass player for a genesis tribute band.. genesish.. but it seemed a bit pie in the sky, big venues, festivals, gigs abroad, hotel stopovers, PA & lighting hired in..dont know what he already had sorted but I decided to give it a swerve. Getting together with a guy next week with a view to continuing the duo. Open to offers really. Im more Bryan Adams and Bruce Springsteen than Motorhead and Megadeath so something on the poppier side of rock.

Hi Kev,
I got an e-mail from Genesish as well. Told him to give me a call whenever convenient.Still waiting for the call......

Stiff competion from Face Value and a Liverpool based Tribute Act so maybe they decided it wasn't going to work.
Can't knock them for aiming high though.....

If you're short of work dad, we could always use a roadie.
;)

Also, if you can slap-bass, would you mind having a session with our bassist? He could use a few pointers.
That, and he's looking to buy a new bass, and I know that you know what he should know when it comes to knowing which bass is blatantly the best buy.

Feel free to come jam with us some time. We could use your years (and years, and years, and years...) of experience. Heheh.

Maybe hell bell you Stuart, hes on hols at the mo. No worries with aiming high, just the first mail was we got this we got that and after I said it was a bit more commitment than I really wanted he was practicaly begging for me to go down, and they wanted to try this and that out. And I looked high and low for a website but nothing. Strange for a band he calls the UKs premier genesis tribute! ..lots of ands there..oh well...they make light work..lol
