there must be somewhere.....

Anybody know a suitable room for a 5 piece band to rehearse Crewe/Chester area?
Nowt fancy, just a big enough space for PA, drums, keys, lead & bass guitar. Gear in & out so no storage required.
oh...and not silly prices..lol
Kev.

Kev, I have dealt with a few pubs that have been only to happy to do this. Offer them a free or discounted gig and they will probably jump at the opportunity mate

we have practiced in pubs in the past, and i've gotta say its tons better in practice/rehearsal rooms, you dont get hassled by the local sops, you dont get asked to turn it down and you make your mistakes in private. You can get very good rooms with PA etc, free drinks clean bogs for five or six quid each if your a five piece... money well spent i rek

I have to say that most of the rehearsal rooms that I have been to are FAR TOO SMALL, your best bet as someone else said is either a Pub function room or a Church Hall.
One thing rehearsal rooms do not give you is the chance to line up as you would on stage, due to the limited space ...I always think that being able to set up correctly as you would on a gig gets the band used to the sound balance and gets you working together better, as in watching each other for cues etc etc, must admit I cant understand why bands use cramped rooms ......
Choose a good venue and you wont have to turn down plus when you use your own PA etc you rapidly get used to getting the sound right ..damm good practice for gig nights that !!!
