Not a review but a gig afterthought

Well with recent posts about the venue i would be a liar if i was to say that we were really looking forward to this gig, especially when we were informed 2 weeks ago that a private party was also booked at the same venue on the same night, but they did say that they still wanted us to play.

Do you know we are a LOUD rock band i mailed ?
Yes they / we do they returned.
We dont do any requests for Disco music i said.
Yep thats ok no prob.

So off we go only to find that when we got there it was actually a closed to the general public got your name on the door gig, and we along with the DJ were the private partys entertainment for the night,

Shit ! we werent told this , a pub full of gorgeous young girlies but with big beefy Scottish fellahs, in fact most of the crowd were all family members down from the highlands for this guys birthday cum engagement.
well i was over the moon .!

about the gig
well i thought we would have deffo took a dive here , but how wrong was i , about the venue and the crowd ,
allthough there for the do ,and not for us ,they really made us feel wanted, and allthough not evryone was a rock fan they didnt throw us out so that was another blessing lol.

the manageress Nicola was great and was a pleasure to talk to ,and the venue boasts a reasonable stage area to set up in , allthough EVERYTHING had to be channeled via 1 x socket .very dodgey ! but we managed without to many farts burps and whistles, but it was on my mind all nite that sometime soon its gonna go ,so they do need to get this sorted for future bands,
access to the pub is via the front doors suituated on a pretty busy little junction so could be better placed, parking is across from the pub on a large Tesco car park which wasnt to bad, allthough watch out for young kids with their skateboards as its their haunt so dont piss em off .
overall i do think it could be a great little venue to look out for , we are being booked back for 3 dates in the new year snd will certainly have a keener view to playing there again

We would however like to apologise if anyone did try to come and watch us tonite as we deffo didnt know that it was a private closed party
Ohh and also I am afraid as an encore we did have to sell out a little and i am embarrassed to say that we did after all had to do a request from the audience,
we got the guy who's birthday it was to get upb and sing I WILL WALK TEN THOUSAND MILES , but bit did gob down very very well with all his mates and family Lol
Lets hope our own gigsv there go as well
Trig
PS, Steve and The Band Hare of the Dog.
The noise police didnt show ,but apparently we are the loudest they have ever had lol

Oh No!!. We've lost our crown to Dakota. We'll have to go back now and play even louder than we did before. This could turn into a new battle of the bands competition.
Glad it went well for you guys, and wouldn't have expected anything less after watching you on Friday. I really was impressed.
