Pub Closing

The Griffin Inn will be closing its doors on Sunday 22nd November

The Griffin Inn will be closing its doors on Sunday 22nd November. All gigs booked before this date are confirmed and will still carry on. However any gigs booked after that date will be cancelled. All bands will be notified personally by me. It is a shame that we have had to come to this decision as we were and still are the number one music venue in this town.

Many thanks to all the bands who have rocked our foundations over the years and we wish you all a very Merry Christmas, a prosperous New Year, and who knows, if we get another pub we might meet again

Regards

Darren

It's always a shame to hear about a pub closing, but I sympathise this is such a hard time to have a pub. So good luck for the future and whatever it may hold for you.

All the best for the future.
I played there in Feb for my last ever gig with Without Reason and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Not to mention a cracking meal as I got there straight from work.

All the best for the future Darren

Shame shame shame and shame again!! We had a blinding time down there, excellent little venue, superb crowd and first class management. It is right up there with the best we've played. (and we've played a hell of a lot!) All the best with whatever the future brings Darren, and if it happens to be another pub then we look forward to rockin yer socks again!!

Hey, Darren, me again! Just had to say again how sorry me and the boys are that you're selling up - for other people reading this blog, I kid you not, this is/was one of the best venues we'ver ever played as a band, I can honestly say that we've never had anything other than a fantastic night at the Griffin. Top pub, top landlord, top punters, top night (and that's no bullshit, for the Lizard Queens among us!). Nuff said.

See you tomorrow night, mate.

Love, Ann x

I'm gutted, and can only reinforce what Ann has already said.
I know more people at the Griffin which is 60 plus miles from home than i do my own local(which is crap). looking forward to the gig but sad at the same time.Bugger.
