great bunch of people

first of all I'd just like to say it was good to meet up with you all at long last.

ok the gig ...........

we only arrived about 4 or 5 songs before the end of the first set but what we heard was good and solidly performed.
A great mix of songs in both sets from hendrix to pink with a bit of blondie thrown in for good measure and a personal favourite of mine boston "more than a feeling" great song.

I know it was a difficult place to set up with a full band but they made the best of it. the guitar was slightly in and out and having spoken to Luke the guitarist he was aware of the issues and I could understand his predicament, still a very good performance from him though.
Terry the bass was a little quiet but as the pub had had complaints about the noise I can undersytand why (I'm just a noisy bugger ..lol) but another good solid performance.
Nicky/Vicky forgive the name thing I am very useless when it comes to remembering them, (the female singer) was very good especially the blondie mix thouroghly enjoyed that, and with the harmonies from the rest of the band it all came together well.
Then to Rick , a good solid drummer kept it tight and together, so pretty much a very reasonable gig..
I'm sure the band will admit they have done better gigs, but under the circumstances I think they did a cracking job.so well done guys.
and finally Ann Ricks better half , a pleasure to meet you again

would I go to see the again ? ................yes
would I recommend them ? ...............yes , already have done.
I would like to see the in full flow without noise restrictions as I know its tough to get that full sound when you are playing so quietly. But we enjoyed it and the LL and his good lady also did.. and I heard good comments from the other punters so it can't have been that bad..lol

Thanks James, always like to hear what people observe of the band - good or indifferent so that we can put stuff right.
Not the best room to play in though, we all couldn't hear fully what was going through the monitors,

Thanks again for making the trip over and please thank Andrea as well,

See you soon,

Rick, NIKKI, Luke and Terry.

@ the old bank inn......think you maybe need to re-read the review, I know you're just itchin for a fight but hey we not gonna go there.

is that a bad review ???? don't think so

I'm sure the band will admit they have done better gigs, but under the circumstances I think they did a cracking job.so well done guys.

is that a bad review.....nope not that either ???

dont think thats a bad point either..

If the old bank has a problem with me , then message me and don't drag other people into it.
my qualifications are umpteen years actually being a musician and a lot more years going out and watching live bands. not sure what your qualifications are , but hey you wern't even there so not sure how you can comment on a review that you know nothing about.

Rick I stand by my review that is written above, you were good and I would recommend you and I would come see you again, how that gets interpreted into a bad review only the old bank inn will ever know..lol

@ The Old Bank Inn.

The point that James was making when he says "under the circumstances" comes from the band's conversation with him about the sound bouncing off the walls in the small room in which we played in.
Try this - sing a song you know all the way through. Now sing the same song with a bucket on your head. I bet you don't get to the end of the song because it will piss you off no-end. We had to perform two sets under these conditions !

Anyway, book us and don't put us in a box and I'm sure you'll re-book us after the gig,

Cheers,

Rick.

dya know whats funny guys....I actually thought that it was quite a good review..
I enjoyed it , the landlord and landlady enjoyed it and the punters came out with good remarks..I think I stated all that above. Not quite sure how my comments could be misread or misinterpreted but I suppose if anybody can they will.
don't want to get anybody else involved in this so all I would say is to the old bank inn.If you have a problem with me personally, then contact me and don't try sh*t stirring with other acts/venues.
