you know the type of places i mean

right glad to see some sense is prevailing over some rather shall we say "less than positive" stuff on here lately, i love this site still.

you know me, i like to get back to the great stuff and discussions on here that we all like to partake in

whats your fave venues for always great atmosphere the ones where you.......

-get loads of people in there that know and love the type music your band plays
- get the same faces back there time and again(hopefully have seen youre on and come down especially)
- the noisiest crowds
- the places with the maddest dancing with a crowd always up and rocking
-the ones where ya get people coming up to you at the end a lot
-and where they wont let you stop!!

over to you my friends, im still thinking of what to put myself for my choices, watch this space

warm regards
Rob

rob, can you vote for your own venue,
we always have a full house
we have a very loyal following
they are really really loud
you cant get off the floof doing there stuff
they are definatly mad
i am sure they want to talk to you after(we miss that because we are getting pizzas)
they would let you play all night.
ive heard the landlord/landlady aint bad
beer is highly recommended

now let me see........ every box ticked.

Marigolds. The end. The only venue that I know that gets 150 plus punters REGULARLY. Top management, top staff, top crowd.

Our spiritual home is The Boulevard, Wigan.

We always get a great crowd and they love us there.
Can't talk about any places we don't play.

Moses Gate Bolton and King Eddys Blackpool.
Of all the pubs we play, they stand out as meeting the criteria set out above.
Best wishes
John

Think I said this on a blog last week.
Hindley Arms and The Old Man & Scythe.
They tick ALL the boxes for me.
No disrespect to any other venues, cos I love playing them all. But these 2 just stand out from the crowd.
(There's lots of places we haven't played at yet, so landlords and landladies, if you wish to join the competition and prove you're the best, book us for 2010, (any opportunity for promoting!!) Steve

I love me Sunday afternoon sessions at the Royal Oak in Wigan - either watching or playing!! Nice atmosphere, good crowd, great ale and a LL who loves his music. Ace

We always seem to go down best at Whittles and The Pub in Lancaster but The Cricketers and Hindley Arms are both favourites as well just because of the great people we meet every time we go there. King Eddie always has had the potential to be amazing but we always seem to get the wrong night for some reason? Any Bolton gig is usually great for us but you can't beat a good night @ The Moses, we just don't get to do it often enough!
