well i certainly didnt know about this at all !, and it saddens, no sickens me,

fair enough i do love some of the scraps on here,and being in some of them lol but i toe the line when things are personal ,hatefull, deliberately offensive, and deff racial.
I have seen to much shit in my life usually caused by small minded bigots and semetic despots so i dont expect it on a website we love to use ,so even if i do hate the fact that freedom of speech is monitered and even worse edited,,
In this particular case it was worthy , just hope it is only used for that ,and thus not zealouseley used willy nilly for what ever seems to piss a moderator off, suppose time will tell, lets hope nothing more like this pops up again.

Just read your blog post to Lynds and the first thing she remarked was that Paul must have been really pissed off to have posted this.

From personal experience I've always found Paul to be a really friendly, pretty selfless bloke who happens to be really into music and puts himself out to support it.

I can't believe some of the unappreciative and almost rude tone of some people on the site recently. I'm not as fussy about the off topic blogs as some people, but some of the recent ones have been really selfish and ungrateful considering what a top job Paul does with the site.

I don't know the specific details of what has provoked this reaction from Paul and I'm not a regular commenter but this has really got to me. I don't want to sound too cheesy but at Marigolds we're really appreciative of what Paul does and want to say cheers for Northwestbands...!!

perhaps you could make this a "pinned post", mr nwb? (i didn't spot it 'cause it had been buried by the "saturday shouts"?)-lets all the people know it's there,then. for you to intervene so publicly says there has been a real problem recently?

Sorry if I was in any way involved in fanning the flames "Dalek-gate". I was trying to balance his argument and I think I came across as criticising covers bands - which is definately not what I wanted to do. Covers bands work their socks off and deserve to be paid more than the current economic apocalypse in the pub trade allows.

Paul, I think that some of the posts have been derogative againts 'bands or singular'......this site has drawn the northwest bands together,more than myspace,facebook..etc!! BUT This is a NW site for northwest bands, its brought us all together to chat and express 'certain' opinions but we have all 'gellled' together...and who we have met on gigs (or dole queue) have stopped alot of the 'bitchiness' of bands watching bands seems to have dissapeared on the whole now ......or are we better actors/performers !! ...????
ha i know i can fk up & smile and get out of it without any punter knowing it ..but Charlie or Robdog may know .....!!
Most of us NWB talk on here and meet up and talk at gigs ......best site ever ....so stop taking the piss guys ......!! ........ok

Don`t know and Don`t really want to know what as gone on. I have only just become a member but the help I have recieved was great. I sure hope we don`t lose a site like this cos there ain`t many left.

to all, it maybe worth counting to ten when someone writes something you feel offended by, written words have no facial expression or tone of voice to give you the impression of intent, it is so easy to take a comment the wrong way and react aggressively causing a situation escalating out of control
