a memorable gig but a bit differant!
Not many in to be honest just the local click who were all in bands and another band were there
called Dakota???
Apparently a band member of Dakota was a no-show at there gig so they came to see us!
int that nice!
but Trig left early slightly peturbed and bereft!
Our Drummer had a sprained wrist, so being an ex boy scout [yeh right] I took a spare drummer!
Only to find another drummer had turned up and wanted an audition AT THE GIG????
So Tom obliged and let him use his kit for "Rock n Roll" by zep!
unfortunately he couldn't remember how it started???????????
so in the middle of a gig and in the middle of our set Tom had to quickly show the guy how it started!
He then performed it with us the best he could which was passable but not to gig standard!
He then at the end of the gig slipped me a piece of paper with his details on it?
Bloody cheek!
The spare drummer we took with us stepped in to do the heavier stuff that Tom would have struggled on with his sprained wrist!
So many Thanks to Jeff from Winsford, your a star mate!
All in all a very odd gig!
the most unprofessional one I've ever done?
But as the audience was almost entirely made up of fellow muso's [some we knew some we didn't] it didn't
seem to matter as everyone got into the spirit of it?
I'd never been to a jam night before?
But I think I have now???
