A strange one at the Bath

small crowd, were we that bad?

A very quiet night on Saturday at the Bath in Morecambe. Not much response throughout but wouldn't let us go at the end
?????? Polite applause after every song but not the usual mentalness we are used to, got us feeling we performed somewhat under par. Oh well, you can't win em all, sincere apologise if we disappointed

It's when the true performer in you has to fight it's way out of the dissapointment of not having an audiance and still find it in you to turn it on?
Wether there are 500 or just 5 you must still perform to your usual standard!
I just put my head down and forget theres no one there and get stuck in!
Better to hear 5 people cheering and clapping than a mumble from 500!
Those 5 people may make the effort to get to your next gig and in my experiance often do!

don't misunderstand, we still gave it our all but and had quite a few very very positive comments afterwards with no negative ones. We just felt we didn't quite reach everyone.

I always feel it for the bands on quieter nights but must admit I'd rather have it quite and everyone enjoying the band than having it packed and no-one mentions the band. Suppose its a catch 22 - what would you prefer: everyone remembering you or going un-noticed? That's not to say that having a packed crowd would do that, but in the current climate, it is getting more and more difficult to achieve. I'm with Dyhouse on this one & if 5 customers came back then we'd all have made it worth while.....I go on customers feedback and they 5 customers might keep us going 7 days a week.

Exactly the same when we played there guys! Balls all reaction all night and then all ten of em went nuts for the encores! Then again we didn't come on til midnight and it was 2am when we got to the encores! The constant cries for "play some DC" always is a bad sign for us as we don't do DC!!!
